I have somewhat a charismatic style of teaching in that I can quickly get excited when I'm teaching. When I teach, I am very organized and have a firm grip on I'm trying to relay across to my students, because I feel that one of the worse things a tutor can do to a student is to get up to teach and sound as if he or she doesn't know what they are talking about. I am person who expects a lot of the people I tutor as so I would hope they expect a lot from me as well. I encourage students to always to do their best and never accept anything less of that. My academic experience in both Chemical Engineering (BS) and Biomedical Engineering (MS) have given me strong background in math and sciences. As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to be part of a Chemical Engineering mentor program where I tutored underclassmen in the fundamentals of engineering. During my graduate stay, I was TA for undergrads and lead recitation sessions to help students prepare for subject matter. A Little Bit About Me...

My basic teaching style utilizes a multimedia approach since different students learn in different ways (audio, visual, or hands-on). I like using simple “demo” experiments to show the “magic” of chemistry. Demos are then backed up by showing the chemical equations to explain what is actually going on. I also tend to use a lot of analogies, that students can related to. I access web information to help explain chemical concepts in creative ways. I also try to get students to think of problems as puzzles. I believe learning can be a fun experience as long as we never forget to ask the fundamental questions - "Why and How?"
