A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for helping others learn. In high school I tutored students from different schools in math. After graduating with two bachelor's degrees from the University of Minnesota I began working full time as a financial analyst for Target Corporation. At the same time, I started teaching part time at a learning center. In the past three years I have been able to help students of all ages from first grade through college. For the past year I have been teaching an ACT prep class for high school students.
I believe that every person has an optimal way in which they learn. Ideas that seem complicated can be made easy by simply changing the way in which it is presented. Being overwhelmed with information that is just not making sense can be frustrating and most teachers don't have the time to give individual attention to each student. Ever student has different needs and I can help them focus on areas they doesn't understand as well as others. I can also show students that studying can be fun.
I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them. I will be a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior in just a few short weeks with my degree in English and Communications. I have developed numerous skills set in the area of quality control testing and reviewed documents under the general guide line and established protocol which abide by the FDA. Although my career was based in industrial analytical chemistry and biology, I also voluntarily tutored my nephews, neices, my wife, and groups of Oromo student at my community with math, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology and general biology both at high school level and college level.
