I trained at four different dance studios in Knoxville for fifteen years. I am a former member of the Bearden High School Dance Team. I danced competitively at state level and national level competitions. I danced in Disney World's Thanksgiving Parade, and I have been on ESPN twice for UDA dance competitions. I trained for three years with the University of Temnessee's dance team, and I have gone to national dance workshops. I am trained in ballet, jazz, Pom, and hip hop; however, I prefer to teach and perform jazz.

I first became passionate about teaching while I was teaching English in China. I received a BS in Bible with a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), which has provided me with an understanding of linguistics, teaching methods, grammar, and language acquisition. I also have eleven months experience teaching English in Thailand. While teaching there, I also studied Thai in a Thai language school. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.
I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning.
