Graduated from wright state university in 1993 with a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering. I have worked the past 16 years in the automotive industry mainly as a manufacturing supervisor. Also, since high school have volunteered abd served on 2 fire departments as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. I enjoy teaching young adults the education and work experiences I have obtained the past 20 years.
I enjoy teaching and working with all of todays youth. My main joy is teaching science and math since they are the foundation of all engineering principles which makes society go forward everyday. I believe teaching should be one that uses the childs minds in discovery and actual examples.

I would describe my teaching style as learning by doing and not learning by lecture. I like the structure and logic of Math. I have always enjoyed helping students grasp concepts that can be utilized in the sciences.
I have taught math for thirty five (35) years at Lexington high school. I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, enriched (honors) Algebra 2, Introduction to Probability and Statistics, Pre calculus and Senor Math (Trig and Analytical Geometry) and Geometry. After 13 years of employment with the Oklahoma City Police Department, I decided to finish my degree, and become a certified teacher. This decision was due to the Police Department recruiting me to teach various computer classes to police officers. I have taught various beginning and advanced computer classes, Algebra II, and business math. I have also tutored students who have failed high school math classes. Each student I have tutored has brought their grade up to at least a "C" average (from a failing score). One student I tutored enrolled in a class at OU for high school credit (Algebra II). After failing his class in his high school setting, he received an A one semester and a B the other.
