I obtained my BA in Social Work and have worked in that field since 1993. In 2005 I began a part time job as an Adult Education instructor for Sentinel Career Center where my primary focus was language arts/writing. I was part of the STAR reading program where I became certified to teach adults to read. In this program and as a GED instructor I have tutored many individuals of varying ages, education levels and backgrounds. In my work as a social worker, I work primarily with children with mental health issues/learning disabilities where the focus is on behavior, organizational,study and communication skills and parenting education.

A Little Bit About Me...

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in political science in 2009. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I am now working on my Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I worked as an English tutor for international students at the University of Findlay from 2007-2009. I also tutored college students in Spanish in the fall of 2009. I have also tutored elementary school students in English. I studied Spanish in Mexico and Arabic in Jordan. My strongest subjects are Spanish, English (writing, reading, grammar), and social studies (geography and government). Most of my teaching was in religious settings working with teens, but I have also tutored younger children with school studies in after school programs and I have taught Microsoft Office, Keyboarding and Business classes in an accredited adult learning center.
