A Little Bit About Me...

I am going into my senior year as an undergraduate Math major at the University of Rochester. In addition, I am in a five year master's program with the University of Rochester School of Education. I have 3 years of teaching experience as a math teaching assistant, a teaching assistant in a 6th grade classroom, and was a teaching assistant in the Boston public schools' summer program this past summer as well. This summer I will be a teaching assistant for Mathpower Summer Academy, working with 6-10th grade students. I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
