Engaging and educating the mind

I have worked with children between the ages of 4-10 tutoring in areas like math and spanish. Also, I have helped adults better understand logic course material more fluently at my school NC A&T State University. Held a refresher course for elementary children during summer camps i've worked at for their english. I also like to work with the client and figure out new ways to help them better understand. This has been done through games,relevant age appropriate references, and other means.
I like to give the children more hands on material, to try and reach them at their respective level. For adults, I do help them, but try and guide them to figure it out on their own. I have found in my experience that it is better retained when the client thinks through it them selves.

Throughout high school and college I helped numerous classmates develop efficient ways of studying as well as providing assistance to learning and understanding the given material. During high school I mainly tutored my neighbor's young children in elementary subjects. In college I helped fellow classmates in my major and minor. The most challenging tutoring experience I had was when my own brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and he was taken out of school for months at a time.
