I received my training from Cedarville University, Wright State University, Plymouth State College and Keene State College. I received my BA from Cedarville University in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Special Education. I completed more training through a teacher mentor program through Plymouth State College to gain my Special Education certification in NH. I took 9 credits towards my masters at Keene State in the area of Special Education. I taught for 6 years in a rural school in NH, where I was a self-contained special ed. teacher for 4 years and a 4th grade teacher for 2 years. Meeting students where they are academically ~ 15 yrs. exp.

I believe that grammar and punctuation are critical in written expression. I am very focused on the learning style of the student and will begin with most student making that determination and connection with the student. I also work well with students who are dyslexic, have ADD/ADHD, and who are left-handed. I attempt to build a relationship with the student so that are willing to listen, learn, and work to master their assignment and/or skill. Meeting students where they are academically and not "where they are supposed to be." Allow the student to lead the way and discover the answers and pathways to knowledge and skill.
