In High School, as a member of the National Honor Society, I tutored my classmates during lunch hours on a voluntary basis. I helped my classmates in social studies subjects (history, government, and politics) and greatly enjoyed the experience. Through out college, I frequently led study groups. My teaching style emphasizes the differences between children, especially with regards to learning styles. Different children comprehend and understand in unique ways - while one may understand best from tactile or visual demonstrations, others learn best simply by hearing. Even within the same student, certain concepts are best understood in atypical ways.
