A Little Bit About Me...

I have approximately one year of experience of professional teaching working with a grant funded program at UNCP. With this program was very hands-on and interactive with the students. I worked directly with the professors in the science department.
As a UNCP alumnus, I currently hold a BS in Biology. I have tutored peers in the past during my second year at UNCP. Subjects that I am familiar are science and math. I have a lot of experience in the science field. I currently work full-time in a lab using my science degree. I’m eager to work as a tutor and use my experience to help advance someone else’s education.

I really enjoy working with all children. I feel it is important that everyone has an equal chance of learning. Everyone learns as a different level and some may needs extra help while others may not require any help at all.
I completed the alternate route requirements to gain my certification in Elementary Teacher. I taught Kindergarten and Sencond grade. I educated students with and without emotional impairments academic, social and motor skills. Planned curriculum and prepared lessons to meet individual needs of students while following curriculum guidelines and requirements of state and school. Conference with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers and other to develop individual educational plan for student. My teaching style can best be described as entertaining, insightful, dedicated, flexible and individually-oriented. I feel that for any individual who chooses to learn something new, the biggest key to their success is motivation and their personal interest in what they are looking to learn. I also recognize that many students (especially young learners) are guided to study various lessons/fields by parents/educators and they need to find what they are being guided to study interesting in some way. A Little Bit About Me...

As a young child I was diagnosed with dyslexia. I have worked hard to to get my degree and have overcome many challenges. I know that it is possible for all the achieve their goals if they are given the opportunity to be taught in ways which they best learn. I personally had to discover my own learning style. Now I work to help others reach their potential by helping them discover their learning style. As a tutor I can only explain my own style is that of my students.
