My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I am a certified teacher in Kentucky in Language Arts. I have been liscensed in Ohio as well.

Student-centered, Co-intentional. I believe that the key to learning is the motivation to want to learn. Once that has been accomplished, just stand back and guide the student to what they want next.
I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I communicate freely with my students, and am always ranked among the most well-liked and effective instructors by my students. My best skill is helping students find what is in it for them to learn and use the material. I currently teach (adjunct) at a career College where I teach English, history, strategies for success, and communications classes.

I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. English/Communications Background Intervention Specialist

Immediately after I obtained my bachelors degree in English/communications with a minor in journalism I began substitute teaching at Portsmouth City Schools as well as teaching developmental writing and composition English classes as an adjunct at Shawnee State University.
