My comments on tutoring Drama : As a graduate of George Washington University with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater and Communications, I have worked in Washington, DC area theater since 1989 as a director of both professional and student productions. While my productions have been nominated for awards, including Best Production, Best Director, Best Actor and Best New Play, I specialize in mentoring actors. In this role I have helped actors young and old prepare and perfect their monologues for local and academic auditions. I also work as an orals coach, helping business people focus on communication and presentation skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

While in college, I spent my time home from school substitute teaching through Frederick County Public Schools. After graduation from American University, I continued to substitute and in the fall of 2005 I took a part-time position at a middle school, teaching Theatre Arts and Music Performance Lab. While teaching, I began my teaching certification through the Maryland State Department of Education, where I completed a course called Inclusion: Making it Happen. I also taught dance at Dance Unlimited and Elite Feet Dance studios in addition to working at numerous children's theatre camps throughout Maryland and West Virginia.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with younger generations. I believe stimulating intelligence and creativity in younger people sometimes requires thinking outside the box. Following instructions and completing homework certainly is a priority, as that prepares for adulthood.
