I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I am currently a part time math teacher at a junior high school and an elementary school teaching assistant. I am a part time math tutor and am looking for new students. My experience as a math tutor ranges from middle school level to adult. I graduated in high standing with a bachelors and masters degree in engineering. I worked as an engineer for four years and then decided to go into the teaching field. As an engineer, I used the principles that I now teach, helping me to develop a strong foundation as a math educator. I am very patient with students and am able to adapt to their individual needs.
