Drawing is one of my top subjects! Experienced in charcoal, conte and graphite mediums. I have also done some ink wash.

I like to teach the basics and then let the student develop his or her own style.
I have been drawing, painting, and making crafts since I was little. I have taken many different art classes throughout high school and college, learning at least the basics in many different mediums. I worked at a Summer Fun for 4 years as a leader and taught children ages 4-11 various arts and crafts. I also worked for 2 years as a ceramics teacher to children ages 5-10.

I did an internship at Hawaii Animation Studio and have a good understanding of Concept design. As I am pursuing my masters degree in 3D Modeling,I did multiple illustration project, won the best University of Hawaii Short animated feature. After 4 years at the University of Hawaii I learned how to professionally work individually but also in collaboration with other people.

My teaching style is based on an inquiry-based learning method. I do not give students answers. I ask them the right questions to get them to figure out the answer themselves. I also encourage the student to ask the right questions themselves as well. I am very patient and encouraging. When I was a freshman in college, I knew that my future was in my hands. I befriended and contacted my chemistry professor and zoology advisor. I worked in both of their labs, and I was only a freshman! By studying in their research groups, I gained the experience necessary to intern at Sea Life Park Hawaii. In fact, I was published in 2007 after working for Dr. Charlie Cox in the Chemistry Department. Recognizing the need for more hands-on research experience, I found another opportunity with another professor in cellular biology.
