My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : Participant in the "Wild Mind Writers Group" for two years. One year graduate level writing at the University of Hawaii for Philosphy courses including 500, 600 and 700 level graduate level courses in Philosophy. Have written two Masters Degree papers, one capstone and one Thesis.

I have two masters degrees. I have taught music. My employment involves being the IT manager for an automobile dealership. Also, I fix PCs. As far as the creative side, I attend a writers group in which we do creative writing. I have been to over 10 colleges and pretty much understand pedagogy. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : In my creative writing experience, I have learned from my professor at a commmunity college that we need to practice and polish our writing skills daily. He also mentioned that we need to have the right tools to move on our writing process. I have use his suggestions in every tutoring sessions I do.

At this moment, I am a volunteer English/English as a Second Language Tutor at our community library. I tutor two elementary students in Reading and Writing two times a week. The younger student has a hard time focusing. I tried variety of things to help her. When we meet, I ask her first how was her day so I would know if she is tired or how long her attention span would be. After I try to ask her to read a small book that she picks. Then as she reads I try to assess her difficulty. I write down words she can’t read. When she is done, I ask her to write sentences or a story with the difficult words. Then she draws about it. The best successes come after their greatest disappointments

I have experience with pre k to 8th grade tutoring in Math and English tutoring to help students prepare for Iolani and Punahou entrance exams through Dr. Takahashi Juku. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

I have experience in being a student in both business, math, science and language arts. I hired tutors for my children and I tutored my children but I have not begun to tudor myself.
