My comments on tutoring English : I instructed middle school students in a self-contained classroom for several years and taught all the core subjects: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. During this time, I worked collaboratively with general education teachers to create lessons and plan instruction.

I believe I have the skills set and passion needed to successfully tutor a variety of students. I have a Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and I am a certified teacher with a master’s in Special Education. I currently teach adults studying for their GED. I plan to double major in mathematics and physics and then transfer to a graduate college, where I will be studying for my masters in engineering. My passion for math comes from my desire to be an engineer in the future, and since then I have disciplined myself to getting good grades in math. In high school, I took every possible math class that was offered and graduated with honors and a 4.9 GPA.
