Accounting is one of my top subjects!

I have worked in the accounting profession for 13 years. I spent 10 years in the public accounting sector, for two different Public Accounting firms. For the past three years I have worked as an accountant in the private sector. I am a CPA, licensed in the State of Ohio. I have a lot of knowledge in reagards to audit standards and best practices, as well as basic genereal ledger accounting. I have done extensive research in various areas. I also have expertise in consolidations and fixed asset accounting.
Easy going and laid back. My teaching style varies by student - depending on their needs from me.

My comments on tutoring Accounting : I am an accounting major at Ball State University. Accounting just seems to make sense to me and I have no doubt that I can help it click for you as well. Any person taking introductory Accounting will improve greatly with my help.

I like to teach as if I am one friend talking to another. I find that this is the most relaxed way to encourage learning. While a relaxed atmosphere is important, my parents (both elementary and high school teachers) showed me the importance of completing objectives. I will push you, my friend, to learn as much as possible - and retain that information - during our time together.
I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. I love to watch people learn, to show them new things and watch them catch on to the processes and apply themselves. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration.
