I very much enjoy teaching both children and young adults. It gives me great satisfaction in helping others achieve a higher level of knowledge and skills. In addition, I feel that tutoring is a two-way street, whereby both the student learns material from the tutor, while at the same time the tutor learns how to better present the material in a way that is conducive for the student's learning. I did my associate degree studies in Classical performance. When I completed my undergraduate B.A. I had more of a focus study on Jazz composition. I was a high school vocal music director 7-12 for one year right after I graduated in 2007 to 2008. I have since then been teaching a wide variety of music classes in everything from elementary to upper level theory and aural skills. I have been teaching private lessons on my free time for about 4 years now and I currently have 15 students of my own. I am a young enthusiastic teacher who feels that I have just as much to show my students as I have to learn from the them.

Last May I graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in history. My passion for history has been driven by my voracious appetite for knowledge. My style of teaching asks the student to do his or her best and will help them find that level in a fun and friendly manner. I am patient and understanding and believe that with a joke and a laugh, learning can truly be gained and cherished...not drudgery! We will have fun and get the job done!!
I as ordained a Priest in 2004 but have twenty years of teaching from vocal/piano to languages. I am bilingual growing up with a father from Quebec,Canada and can easily tutor in French in both dialects. I can also tutor literature and reading. I love working with young people and see that as part of my ministry. And while my faith is extremely important to me, I am not looking to convert others. I have always loved numbers and they are my passion. As a student at FMCC I was able to pursue my goal and assist others along the way. I tutored mainly math at FMCC for about 1.5 years while still attending school, but also tutored in a variety of subjects ranging from english to science to business to accounting. I currently am tutoring a friend with an accounting class. I took math, science, and english classes in which I recieved high grades in all.
I teaching and working with student of all ages. I believe that those that I have tutoredin the past and present learn best though hands on learning. The process by which demonstration problems are correctly worked out and then assists them in completing the problems at hand.
