I have worked with children of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings throughout high school, college and as a certified Elementary Education Teacher and Reading Specialist for the past seven years. Currently, I work at a learning center, where I tutor students at a 3:1 ratio in beginning reading, academic reading, math, and writing. In my Sophmore symester, I was presented with a challenge. A young man who was both Dislexic, and Mathlexic was failing basic mathematics. In less then 1/2 hour, I was able to help him go from failing grades to straight A's. Later, I tutored fellow students in Pre-Calculus while taking the course myself.
