I've experienced continued success with my teaching strategies which I have to vary hourly due to the diversity of the student population I work with. I am happy to offer individual training or will work with a group as large as 20.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in a number of positions that have required me to teach and train, whether that be as an instructor at a local radio station who was responsible for preparing DJs to broadcast or a tutor in Hong Kong who was responsible for developing the English skills of a number of non-native speakers at all levels. My experience is backed up by my certification to teach English as a second language and a track record as somebody who writes at a professional level.
I prefer one-on-one work with the students that stresses not simple correction or copy editing but legitimate comprehension on the part of my charges. My teaching style is comprehensive and rigorous and requires serious involvement and passion on the student's part. I do not hand-hold and I do not coddle but I am not uncaring: students learn best from experience, and that's something I can provide.

I was a teacher of English for 30 years at three high schools in The Netherlands, my last job being a teacher/tutor at "Bisschopelijk College" (Episcopal College)in Weert Holland from 1980 to September 2005. I then emigrated to Texas and married an American in 2006. I taught students ranging between the age of 11 and 19 years of age. A Little Bit About Me...

My life has been filled with teaching and working with children. At the age of ninteen as a very young mother I felt a sense of duty in teaching my children how to achive higher than they can ever have imagined.
