I bring a lot of energy to the classroom and ensure that I am over-prepared for each lesson. I enjoy involving every student in a classroom setting and encourage an active, open learning environment. I also believe it is a very valuable experience to be able to work with students one-on-one. I like to work with each student to figure out his or her individual learning style and needs. Though it may not be applicable for this position, I try to plan group activities when possible, so that students can learn from one another and help each other work through problems. I am a self starter, and am good at trying to help someone to see what their potential can be. I am a life-long learner and believe education is what makes people successful in today's society. I own a lot of software programs from the Teach12 curricula. I learn such things as discreet math, the Joy of Science and Understanding the Brain to name a few.
