I search for the light bulb that hasn't yet gone off in my students. Rote memorization by my students just to get a grade doesn't satisfy me, although that happens with some. I thoroughly enjoy the intellectual challenge of trying to stimulate my students and interest them in the learning process. I probe; I question; I challenge; I confront. A Little Bit About Me...

I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.
While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. A Little Bit About Me...

I love acounting and teaching accounting. One reason is the way I was taught and how the people I worked with helped me understand accounting. And I thing the variety of experiences I have had help me understand how to help others understand accounting. The people I taught found me very easy to work with.
For the majority of my career I had my own CPA firm. I often put on seminars for my clients and a big part of my job was training (tutoring) accounting staff for my firm and my clients. That is why I put 30 years in the Teaching box.
