I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. Biology Tutor-OKC Area

I have a degree in biology. I was planning on going to medical school at one point so I focused on human anatomy and human physiology. I also took advanced mammalian physiology 1 and 2 for graduate credit. I made A's in all of these courses. I took an aquatic entomology course one summer and decided to focus more on ecology and zoology. My comments on tutoring Reading : I am an expert reader and have read at a college level since 8th grade. I can help anyone learn to read.

Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I'm a freshman at Southeast High and I'm in ROTC.

I've never tutored for money, but I usually help my friends out with homework, school work, ect. I just need the money, so I figured why not tutor? It seems fun. So, I got on here, and viola! Here I am! So. yeah. Not much paid experience, but I'm willing to negotiate on prices!!! I will have the occasional weird times when I will not be available ,thanks to JROTC, but most of the time I'll get out of school at 2:15-ish.
I just do what works for the students. I find it easier to teach shyer kids, because that's how I was, but, I'm always up for a challenge!! Also, elementary kids are easier, but again, always up for a challenge! I usually try to figure out how they learn, maybe through a hobby, or something like that.

From early on in my high school career I understood that passing AP tests could mean graduating from college in 3 years, saving money for grad school, and a chance to get into the professional world sooner. That's exactly what I did. I had to take some summer school and intersession classes, but I endured. All the while I was involved with an organization on campus that worked to educate the student body on a number of environmental issues, worked with volunteers on events and campaigns, and trained my peers to take the same leadership that I did.
