Informal and relaxed environment where all questions are welcomed. I tend to keep my students engaged by making jokes and asking them questions.
I have over 20 years of professional experience in accounting, audit and tax. In addition, I passed 2 sections of the CPA exam on my first attempt (FAR & REG). 4.0 MBA graduate with 2 bachelor of science degrees - accounting and business management respectively. I did take 2 doctorate courses in accounting at UTD (3.83 GPA) to see if I could meet the challenge.

Unorthodox is the best way to describe my teaching style. Unorthodox in that I will change my approach or activities based on student comprehension. Unorthodox in that I truly believe that for every student who is confused or doesn’t understand a concept, there is a teacher who didn’t do their job. My greatest strength lies in creating lessons and activities where students will want to engage. Engagement leads to a permanent investment. A Little Bit About Me...

I have student taught for the past seven years. I have tutored countless individuals in English, Drama and American Sign Language. I am fluent in ASL and am very confident in my ability to teach others the beautiful language. I was heavily involved in theater for the past fifteen years and I can say that my experience has taught me more than any coach could and I am more than willing to share my experience. I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him. I can tutor math and science exceptionally well and other subjects for the younger levels.
I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept.
