Patient tutor who helps with content AND study strategies.

I've helped in my mother's elementary and middle school classrooms since age ten. In high school and college, I loved coordinating study groups and helping (and learning from) my peers. I have one BS in Electrical Engineering, and while an upper-class student tutored younger students. As a senior, I also tutored Intro to EE students on request 2-3 times per week. I currently teach Leadership basics to enlisted Marines during the week. I have a heavy math and science backgrounds based on my major, but also have self-studied psychology, history, and technical writing. I can tutor in almost any subject at the high school level, and engineers or math/science courses at the collegiate level.
In my military experience, I see all sorts of learning styles and ability levels. I am able to break down hard concepts of math/science/engineering so that regardless of learning style, we can work towards understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always valued the importance of a quality education and have encouraged friends with no college ambition to start working on their degrees. I am not, however, an elitist. I think every endeavor is a learning experience, but there are basic skills that are necessary to be successful, such as grammar, spelling, and professionalism.
