After attending the University at Albany for four years I have accumulated a wealth of experience in Chemistry and Physics which has culminated in multiple accolades and two degrees. Previously, while a member of the national honor society in high school I tutored many elementary and high school students in subjects such as math, science, and history.
In my experience, most students under perform in science and math due to the an inability to relate theses subjects to practical real life examples. Connecting chemistry and physics principles with analogous real life examples is the key for students to become both interested and proficient in these subjects. My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : I took Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry in tenth grade and earned an A+ for my hard work. I even scored a perfect 116 on the final exam. I continued using trigonometry in advanced calculus so I mastered the basics in this course as they were common knowledge in Calculus.

I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts.

Ever since I volunteered at Guilderland High School where I helped children with homework, I love teaching and being around with children. Once you put the effort into their learning and be there with them one step at a time until they finally understand the concept and/or get the answer, it is an amazing feeling.
I recently graduated from Syracuse University. I majored in finance and marketing management with a minor in information technology. In my finance courses, I have gained extensive knowledge in different areas of math. Apart from my academic studies, I joined clubs where I held leadership positions which allowed me build team building and leadership skills.
