I am a very interactive teacher. I want feedback so I can see the progress the student is making. If they are not getting something, I make adjustments and change tactics. I teach tot he student(s). I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement. I have dealt with my fair share of teachers who use shame as a motivator, but that only stalls students. Teaching students WHY helps them understand HOW, and it works every time. I'm confident in this method's results.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a visual learner and instructor, I believe the best way for children to retain information is by breaking down the task itself and visualizing it in stages/phases. Often times children feel overwhelmed by the countless lessons taught inside the classroom, resulting in defeated attitudes and poor grades. At UCR, I was a "drop-in" tutor. This means that for hours of the day in a room with 6 chalkboards, I would teach math to any UCR student who wanted to learn and answer their questions.
