I am a College Student studying English and Politics

I was a tutor in high school for many elementary and middle school aged children. I am also experienced with writing papers, so I can help anyone who is writing for a college application or essay. I am a very quick learner, so if there is a subject I am not as familiar with I am willing to study it to help a student. My goal is to help students understand the context being taught, as well as teach them the importance of this knowledge. I have often used the phrase "When will I ever need this?" and I have learned later on in life that each subject is important. This is the messageI want to get across to children, that learning new things is a very important aspect of life.

I have a BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated in 1986. I am also a former officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard. For the last 12 years I have been in the business world, and that is where I have used my degree the most. I bring to the table real world English skills.
