My teaching style is highly creative to borderline eccentric! I have extensive training in the various learning styles and instinctively target the student's learning style in order to make the most progress. I am a firm believer in kinesthetic learning activities and of using a hands-on, mnemonic-driven approach to teaching. My varied background and life resume offers life experiences that I can use to expand students' varied situations.
I have enjoyed substitute teaching since 1991; it was a part- time occupation that worked well as I re-entered the college scene in order to advance my AA degree to a BA in Political Science. I have taught either French or English, either in the classroom or as a private tutor, since 1989, when I was recruited as an undergraduate to teach Elementary French. For the next 5 years I taught all levels of French grammar and PhD readings, as well as first and second semester English Grammar and Composition courses while pursuing my MFA in Literary Translation (French and Spanish).
