People learn best when they understand the importance of the material being taught, something I strive to convey to my students. While I can easily teach a didactic lecturing style, I feel that an interactive approach often better meets the needs of the students. This strategy includes posing leading questions so that the student has the chance to discover the answers themselves and to take credit for their own learning.
