I have been studying algebra every since the age of 6. While doing community service for the boys and girls club, I learned that I'm great with teaching, mentoring, and communicating with kids! After two months attending Wilmington Job Corps I tutored kids for GED, High School Diploma, and some placement test needed for the program.

I enjoy helping people learn something new. I think anyone can do anything they put their mind to. I would allow the student time to get to know me so they would feel comfortable with me. Students sometimes feel too vulnerable to try things when they don't know someone because they do not want to make mistakes. I would let them know that the only way to get better at something is to make mistakes so they can learn from those mistakes by making the appropriate corrections. Confidence is key. Positive work ethics allow me to help and give students the confidence necessary to complete anything put before them.

I like to incorporate a sense of humor in my teaching - I believe when children can relax they are much more open to learning. I have years of experience working with children in both an academic and an athletic setting.
