Hi! I am a sophomore in high school and I love tutoring kids! I've done some tutoring before in my neighborhood, and at my school. They all seem to like my teaching style and all of the students I've tutored have reported better results. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education/Child Development (ZA Endorsement). From that point on, I subbed in various elementary schools, including Rockford and Comstock Park. I obtained a kindergarten position at St. Adalbert School in the fall of 1996 and taught there for four years. I then transferred to St Paul the Apostle School in 2000, where for the past 10 years I have taught first grade. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my undergrad at Spring Arbor, I was a mentor as well as a co-leader of a small group to children ages K-12 which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also have had previous supervisory experience as the director of an after school program for an entire school year, as well as a day camp counselor for two summers; both with elementary age children as well. I enjoy working with this age group and plan to do school social work once I obtain my MSW. I have experience working one-on-one with children this age as well as in large group settings. I enjoy mentoring, tutoring, and encouraging youth at this age.

What more better experience then to start at home by helping my little brother and sister. For the past five years I have tutored my brother and sister in many different subjects. I have done math, reading, science,history. Basically all elementary subjects.I am Bilingual and speak both English, and Spanish fluently.
I try to make the subjects fun for them. For example i bring out cubes, candy, or fruits for math problems so they can visually see the mathamatical problem. If its science I try to make 3D projects so they can better understand, for example the solar system. I try to get there intrest so they can have fun and not be bored and feel like its a waist of time. I know everyone learns in different ways and I understand that because im the same way. Im very patient, and very easy going. My goal is to give them the education they need to succeed in life.
