I believe that children must be engaged in the subject matter before successful learning takes place. I am a senior in the Education program at Appalachian State University. As an Elementary Education major, I have worked closely with children from many age levels. I have participated in an after-school tutor/mentor program at Appalachian State in 2008. In 2009, I completed two internships while in the Education Program.
