Communications is one of my top subjects! I was a communications major for 2 years and communications has been a large part of my success in growing my own business and in the programs I have built. I have talked with small groups and groups of up to 200. I enjoy writing and public speaking and I have had the opportunity to use both extensively. I have helped others with their communications whether written, verbal, and non-verbal. I have led life and job coaching seminars.

I taught at an outdoor school for 1 year in the Bahamas teaching responsibilities to kids ages 6-12. I have tutored adult English as a Second Language learners for 8 years. A Little Bit About Me...

None of my family had gone to college, so it was predicted I would not either. I had a hunger to learn, so I systematically worked full-time and studied part-time, earning eight major degrees in cities where they alowed residency rquirements to be met in such a way. I was young and energetic, so it was a lot of work, but a joy. It took about 15 years to finally earn my doctorate. Along the way, I earned certification in a half dozen fields (especially loved English, social stuides, and psychology). I was employed for decades in education, teaching full-time for five years, often teaching on the side when I was counselor or administrator. A Little Bit About Me...

I was formerly a high school English Teacher and an ESL teacher. I taught one year overseas teaching English as a second language. For two years, I was an education supervisor at the Hawaii Job Corps, and it was my job to ensure that the students' academic needs were being met. I excelled at that job, but had to leave as I moved back to the mainland. I worked as both a tutor and a teacher for many years (10) and loved my career. I believe in identifying the learning style of the student which can take some time with some. Are they a visual learner I draw pictures, maps, charts and video; if an audio learner tapes, lecture, youtube, video, etc,.. and if a kinesthetic learner then they need the hands on experience to develop the learning that is needed, so then standing back to guide the thought process without doing it for them.
I started as an Adjunct Instructor at ISU for the Geomatics Engineering program for the 2007-2008 school year. Prepare for class setup the curriculum, homework, grading and test for 10-12 students. I went to ITT Technical Institute following that and was offered to Chair School of Drafting & Design. I taught and ran the department for 2 years. I was in charge of 4-10 teachers and 170+ students.
