I love hands-on activities and learning experiences that include technology. I also like to include activities that appeal to all types of learning styles. I have used and implemented Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences when planning and implementing lessons.
I Have been a teacher since 2002. I have had various experience in teaching students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, PDD, ODD, as well as other learning, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. I have recently graduated cum laude from Kent State University Stark with a BA in English and dual minors in Writing and History. In May of 2009, I graduate from Kent State University with a BA in English and The Writing Minor certification. As a college student, I took many courses highlighting grammar structure and the writing styles of APA and MLA. As a student, I held part time jobs as a nanny for three children and a high school athletic coach for Gilmour Academy.
