Everybody learns differently, and I vary my teaching style to meet the individual learning needs of the person whom I am tutoring. One major constant of my teaching style, though, is that I heavily emphasize repetition in one manner or another. I am a proponent of two things. First, encouragement. I always encourage the smallest success before I point out any failure. I never get frustrated or upset. I never get angry or disappointed. I know that encouragement breeds success, and success is the goal. Second, I speak to children as if they know what I mean. In other words, I never talk down to them.
