I believe in setting goals and charting a specific path for reaching them, while being flexible enough to alter the path along the way. I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. Children and adults learn in different ways. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic are three ways that people can learn, I happen to be mostly kinesthetic. I alter how I teach depending on what my students need and what the resources are. I do use a constructivist teaching style to do this.
