A Little Bit About Me...

As a student myself I know exactly what I want and expect out of a teacher. Learning is exciting for me, and it is important to me that I convey the 'fun' aspects of learning to my students. I am believe in conforming the way I teach to match the student's learning abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

I started my teaching career in 1983 at Indiana Girls’ School in Indianapolis, Indiana. After teaching for six years I successfully transitioned into the business world for the next 20+ years. Two years ago I made a decision to return to my roots and completed the additional course work and appropriate testing required by the state of Ohio to renew my teaching license in Biology/Life Sciences. You won’t find anyone willing to work harder or with more life experiences dedicated to teaching in the state.

I served as a mentor to a middle school student as a high school student from 1999-2002. I have volunteered for the Cleveland Metroparks since 2006, and enjoy public outreach. I have a strong academic background in biology, a B.A. in Biology summa cum laude and with Departmental Honors and currently working on an M.S. in a biology-related field. I taught every quarter in residence at The Ohio State University while completing my Master’s degree. The courses were undergraduate Biology courses of varying levels for science and non-science majors.
