BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH ABLE TO TUTOR FROM K-12

I' ve been working for about 18 years with students from Kindergarten through 12 grade in the Petaluma Schools District in the city of Petaluma, California. I've had experience teaching English as a second language and tutoring experience teaching math, language and science. Since I've worked in a classroom setting as a Bilingual Instructional Assistant, I have acquired a lot of experience from a diverse teaching styles. I am patient yet firm. My personal background in mathematics was fairly rigorous, so I always make my students show their work. As the subject material gets tougher, it becomes more critical to be able to check all stages of one's work. One of my math teachers gave me some sage advice: "Math teachers are lazy. We find the quickest and shortest route to a solution." I've taken this tongue-in-cheek wisdom to heart in my own way. While there is only one single solution for any math problem, there are infinitely elegant ways to arrive at that solution.
