This is what seems to be working for my student who is currently taking a class at the University of Dayton. She is an adult learner and her goal is to just understand how to use Adobe Creative Suite software in her work as an artist. She goes to her class. She works on the assignments as best as she can and reviews the notes she took in class. She makes a list of anything she doesn't understand or needs more information about. To be honest I worked as a Substitute because I was Laid off from my job. But when I started teaching I found it was very difficult to keep control of the class and to get the students to do their work. I thought I couldn't do this anymore. I didn't quit and things did get better. I learned that most of these children were from single parent homes, and were living below the poverty level. They were scared, hungrey and tired at times, and I new I had to adjust for me to be of any help, and I did.
