I try to alleviate math anxiety, and introduce thoughtfulness as a way to solve problems. I teach how to understand math rather than just mimicking the behavior of the teacher. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.

As a substitute teacher and an aspiring full-time teacher I've been on a journey to obtain my Master's in Education. I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. While completing my undergraduate studies I was a tutor for the Omega C.H.A.M.P.S program, tutoring in mathematics. Upon graduation I assumed a position as an academic assistant in the Trio Upward Bound project. I have experience with students of all ages.
Teaching gives me a feeling of joy, and when I think back to my younger years and those days in the classroom I remember the teachers who made a difference in my life and I've always wanted to do the same.
