I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach most subjects and have no issue working in difficult classrooms as I have grown accustomed to such environments working in St. Louis.
Being no stranger to difficult classroom settings, I understand that ideal teaching conditions rarely exist. I enjoy to challenge of encouraging more distracted students to learn, and possess the compassion and patience to work with most students. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a Big Ten school, and a current master’s level student, I have had many focuses in school that I can teach in the tutoring setting. I also currently work in education as a tutor and a substitute teacher, sometimes as a child care worker. Subjects: political science, biology, math through pre-calculus, accounting, English, computer technology, and a few more. I have honed my writing and research skills through my experience in my master’s program, and through a year working as a full time staff writer for a health and wellness company. A Little Bit About Me...

In my career in automotive plastics, I coached or taught manufacturing principles to improve quality and efficiency. My demonstrated success is due in part to my efforts to educate and coach operators, engineers and managers to understand the basic principles of chemistry, math and engineering to buy into a logical course of action. I have also greatly enjoyed my voluntary participation as a youth football coach. I have coached 8-12 year olds the last 5 years. It is very fulfilling to demonstrate and coach new skills to children to develop an organized team.
I have a BS in chemical engineering. I have 13 years of applying engineering and project management principles in the automotive plastics industry.
