I taught high school English, journalism and speech for more than 30 years before retiring in 2013. I enjoy teaching and creating interest in the subject that is being taught. I have learned from experiance that the more interested the students become in the subject, the better they learn. I have found that many students have a psychological barrier when it comes to mathematics and the sciences. Once that barrier is brought down, the students interest in the subject starts to perk, and it's all uphill from there. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with my master's three years ago, so I haven't had any actual teaching, but I have tutored for the community college where I live. I tutored essay writing and some math. I was also certified as a tutor through our community college. In college I taught certain subjects, but just for part of certain classes. I am presently tutoring on line also.
As an older student I was very driven to achieve a high level of excellence in my education, hardly ever missing a class.
