I did maintain a B or higher in all these classes. I also have three children of my own that I help understand the concepts of math. While in college I tutored an older lady with college algebra so that she would not have to take over and she came out of the class with an A. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. While an undergraduate at Colorado State, I taught various levels of chemistry laboratories for 4 semesters, which included both teaching credits and paid work. I spent one year as a graduate student at the University of Michigan in which I taught general chemistry recitation and a laboratory section.
