In 2005 I graduated from Fredonia University with childhood education including a middle school extension in English. I completed my master's degree in Special Education from Medaille University in 2008. I hold a New York Certification in Childhood Education as well as English through grade 9. I have worked in many educational levels throughout the elementary and middle school. I spent 3 years as a teacher's aide in a pre-school setting. I spent a year as the academic intervention specialist in a elementary school. I have also spent 2 years as a general education teacher in the first grade. I am willing and capable to tutor any student in grades K-9. I believe that all students have a different way and style of learning. As an educator I take an open approach to teaching. I have spent my life working towards degrees that would help me to give my life meaning. I have earned a B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as, a bilingual extension in Spanish. Since I also love healing through nutrition and energy work, I've earned degrees in Health Counseling and Reconnective Healing. As I continue to learn myself, I hope to inspire people to do the same! I have been working with children ever since I can remember. I love to engage in creative activities with children while helping them utilize their strengths to overcome their limitations. I've learned that by figuring out what motivates a child, s/he can learn anything! I also know that if a child is having fun, it means that s/he is learning something. I have always loved working with children and helping them grow as a person. I am patient, passionate and enthusiastic when helping children.
