THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BAD STUDENT!

I have been a classroom teacher for over 20 years. I have taught all subjects in elementary school, English, history, and mathematics in middle school, and English composition and literature in high school. Additionally, I have taught mass communication and creative writing in high school. I have taught remedial English, freshman composition, and technical writing on a collegiate level. One of my specialties is helping students to overcome the difficulties in passing standardized tests such as iLEAP, ACT/SAT, GED, and ASVAB. A Little Bit About Me...

I am very hand-on and like to teach through example and discovery.
I have been teaching English Language Arts at the secondary and elementary levels, U. S. History, World History, for the past 5 years. I also held a position as a tutor in the Writing Center for my former alma mater. I am skilled at working one-on-one with students from all grade/age levels. Before launching my teaching career, I held positions in the heart and fitness field, in the retail clothing sector, and raised two children. I am experienced with the Common Core curriculum and understand the demands it puts on today's student. I am equipped to help build the skills necessary to tackle the curriculum head-on in order to realize success.
