Typing Skills is one of my top subjects!

I graduated high school in 2008. I then attended West Ga Tech., for over a year. I majored in technical communications and took numerous computer classes. I love computers and Math. Those are my two favorite subjects but I am pretty well rounded, there's not much I can't do. I'm very self motivated and enjoy helping people better themselves. I work full time right now as a staffing agent, helping people get jobs. I'm only 22 recently out of college so most of the school subjects are still fresh in my memory.

A Little Bit About Me...

For over 20 years, I have had the opportunity to tutor children, peers and older adults in various subjects including math, English and science as well as guide them at presentation skills, critical thinking and small business solutions. As an undergraduate student, I was selected, by the International Teachers Abroad Program at Vanderbilt (ITAP), to teach graduate level, teaching assistants, how to enhance their ability to communicate in English and to communicate their subject matter to undergraduate students. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, I began working full-time at a modern-day orphanage. A teacher must care about people. It is not enough to have the knowledge of the material. You must be very aware of body language and read the group to determine if you need to restate the concept. A good teacher will ask a question and will not answer until a group discussion occurs. A good teacher ensures the group feels comfortable to think outside the box withou fear of embarrassment. Use of several medias in addition to course material is key to keep the attention of the group. However, again, none of this is effective if you do not have a genuine desire to see the knowledge you have of the material transferred to the individuals receiving the message.
