Each student has personal methods of learning that work best for them, and certain ways of doing things that do not work for them. I like to try and explain a concept to the student in different ways until that particular student feels at ease with the theory and idea behind the subject. Once the basic idea is well understood the reinforcement of the principle by means of problem solving can show the utility of the idea and how it may be used in real life.

I work closely with each student to identify stumbling blocks and I introduce alternate ways of understanding that concept working interactively with the student until they understand it.
