My comments on tutoring Algebra : I can help in all sorts of beginning algebra concepts such as: algebraic expressions, solving basic and multi-step equations, graphing linear equations, solving and graphing inequalities, factoring polynomials, and more.

I taught lower grades for 33 years in San Jose, CA. I have a master's degree from San Jose State College. I have tutored for many years, have been a substitute teacher in both Camas and Washougal schools, and taught in the Adult Education program at Clark College for 4 years to adults who needed never finished high school and needed to get their GED.

My learning and teaching preference is reading/writing. I adjust to students who are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. I like to use examples to drive concepts home, to make them relevant to my students' lives, and to ground these concepts in reality.
