A Little Bit About Me...

I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life other than teaching elementary children. I love helping children discover new concepts and seeing them accomplish things they never knew they were capable of. I am extremely patient, kind and easygoing. I want what is best for your child and am willing to put forth my best effort until your child is successful. My teaching is centered on building up the child. I want to fill the child with knowledge and a confidence that they are capable of anything. I believe that children are successful when they are taught through discovery. A Little Bit About Me...

As an English major I have always enjoyed and excelled in the field. I was top of my class in high school. I also aided in the kindergarten class. I changed my major in college because I knew English was my calling. I have a Bachelor's degree from Warner Pacific. I enjoyed my classes and did extremely well. I aided at Clackamas High for a while, where I enjoyed the one on one with the students. In my current job I have trained and taught many associates. I am a perfectionist who pays great attention to detail. I love to read, write and create. I have always wanted to work as a tutor.

More About This Tutor...

I began working in the school setting in February, 2002. Initially I worked as a teacher's aide in the special education (K-5) classroom environment. Shortly after, I began to tutor after-school hours for one of the special needs students. The "parent network" took off and soon I was tutoring five students per week. In 2004, I returned to school for my masters/teacher credential program. Upon graduation, I worked for two years as a program director at a before-and-after school program and two years as a creative movement/dance instructor in the Vancouver School District.
My teaching style is to help make student's successful by understanding their learning style.
